We have seen an epic Spanish Mackerel bite this summer!!! Just north of Buxton has been a hot spot... the beach nourishment seems to of helped bring fish close in that area, and so - we have been putting that new parking lot to good use for-sure!! Anglers have also caught some beautiful Albacore, Bluefish, Hogfish, Puffer Fish, Pompano, Lookdowns and Croaker. Sandbar sharks have been brought in at the point and a few Puppy Drum on the sound side too! What a memorable summer

Summer is in full swing here on the island and so is the catching! We have seen a great Spanish Mackerel bite this year, better than the past several years! Sharks have been a fun catch for many coming through the shop. We are seeing all different sized Pampano and some beautiful Whiting. The heat is officially here and with the warmer ocean waters we are seeing plenty of pompano, croaker, whiting, spanish mackerel and blue fish harvested. We have had lots of spot, black tips & spinner sharks. Caught a few beautiful spade fish. Drum, spanish, blues, speckled and grey trout on the sound side too! This past month was super fun out on the surf. We saw some beautiful red drum, black drum, blue fish, lots of whiting and the sharks made an appearance too! As we started to head into the warmer days we also caught some spanish mackerel and pompano. Can't forget the few speckled trout on the sound side too!
